   Southeastern North Carolina Radio Reading Service (SENC-RRS)
 provides service to the residents of the Sandhills/Cape Fear Region, who live within a 60      mile radius of our studios and are unable to use printed materials due to visual impairment or physical disabilities. It is a service that provides information about local events and  news by  using community volunteers to read  local newspapers, magazines, and other information for broadcast  over a dedicated frequency (67 KHz subcarrier) of Public Radio Station, WFSS 91.9 FM.



Specially-tuned receivers are avail-
able  to qualified individuals to 
access the reading service broadcasts

Southeastern North Carolina Radio Reading Service (SENC-RRS) is located in the Telecommunications Building, on the campus of Fayetteville State University.   The mission of the Southeastern North Carolina Radio Reading Service is to improve the quality of life for the vision and print impaired by providing print materials in an audio format.

Southeastern North Carolina Radio Reading Service is a non-profit organization that broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
