WFSS 91.9 FM Public Radio Station at
Fayetteville State University (FSU) proudly announces the
All-American Jazz Festival for which we are seeking sponsorships and
support. The jazz festival will be held on May 11, 2013 at Festival Park
in Downtown Fayetteville, NC. Given the exceptional line-up of jazz
artists we expect attendance of at least 5,000. (See attached flyer)
WFSS—a nonprofit, 100,000 watts public radio
station licensed to the FSU Board of Trustees—provides high quality news
and jazz programming to the southeastern region of North Carolina and
beyond, specifically along the I-95, I-40, and I-20 interstate highway
corridors. In fact, WFSS reaches as far north as Virginia and as far
south as South Carolina. It also reaches west to the metropolitan area
of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill and the well-known Southern
Pines-Pinehurst communities. WFSS also can be heard worldwide through
Internet streaming.
In addition to being a broadcast station, WFSS
serves as a real-world training facility for students seeking careers in
communications or broadcast journalism. In support of the university’s
outreach to the region, WFSS provides programming that enlightens,
educates, entertains, and enriches the quality of life for its
listeners.
The All-American Jazz Festival,
previously known as Jazz on the River, is a one-day festival that
celebrates the legacy of jazz by providing opportunities for the
community to experience jazz music featuring creative performances of
local as well as world-renowned artists and jazz masters. WFSS has been
celebrating the music art form of jazz in the community with this event
for 5 years running.
This is a great opportunity for your company
to be exposed to an audience of 5,000 or more jazz enthusiasts known to
be highly educated and in higher income brackets. Moreover, you will be
supporting the arts and culture through the preservation of jazz and
public radio in the community.
